Text messaging is a distraction and it only takes one second to be in the other lane, colliding with another car. A car weighs about one to two thousand pounds which can do a lot of damage. While driving you need to have undivided attention to the road and other drivers. Texting while driving is one of the main reasons for death. It is a very dumb decision to text while driving.
